The Linkam TS1500V is a portable high-temperature microscope stage which allows the user to observe and characterise samples from ambient to 1500°C. Brief details of equipment:
- Room temperature up to 1500°C
- Inert / vacuum environment
- Heating/cooling rates up to 200 K / min
Due to the size and design of this hot stage, it is used for in-situ X-ray synchrotron diffraction experiments, in which we characterise phase transformations and precipitation as function of temperature and time.
