Beyond Nickel-Based Superalloys II Conference, 17-22 July, Cambridge, UK
The University of Cambridge will host the ECI “Beyond Nickel-Based Superalloys II” conference series, chaired by Dr Howard J. Stone, from 17-22 July 2016.
The conference will cover recent developments in alloys for elevated temperature structural applications, which have the potential to supersede nickel-based superalloys. Research groups from all over the world will be brought together to showcase the latest results obtained in the field.
The conference will be focused on metallic and intermetallic materials, with presentations covering a wide variety of topics including:
- Alloy development
- Mechanical behaviour of alloys, from RT up to application temperatures
- Microstructure observations, and microstructure-behaviour correlations
- Oxidation behaviour
- Experimental approaches, such as in-situ and small-scale testing, and rapid alloy prototyping
- Applications for advanced high temperature alloys
